Giro Ionos: 9.8 / 10

The GoodAdvantages:

  • Very comfortable
  • Excellent airflow
  • Fits great, feels lighter than it really is.
  • Winter Kit included
  • Great design

The BadDisadvantages:

  • Pricey

Yes, Giro Ionos is pricey. But that's about the only thing you won't like in it. It looks cool, feels really cool and screams quality. If you have the money, then get it.

Remember, though, a more expensive helmet does not mean that it's safer. Theoretically, all helmets are equally safe in the USA. All of them are tested for compliance with the CPSC. You pay a higher price for the bells and whistles. But let's face it, you can't compare a $20 helmet with a $200 one. The latter won't only look better, it'll also feel more comfortable. And lighter. And cooler (temperature wise). You get my drift.
